Magnesium alloy has attracted people's attention due to its low density, good performance, good shock absorption performance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, good process performance, etc. It has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, transportation, chemical industry, rockets and other industrial sectors. The aluminum as a kind of non-ferrous metal structural materials alloy is the most widely used in the industry.aluminum alloy has higher strength, and it is close to or over the high-quality steel. It has good plasticity too.It can be processed into a variety of profiles with excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and resistance Corrosion, low temperature mechanical properties and so on.It has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, automotive, machinery manufacturing, shipping and chemical industry. In this paper, magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy are mainly studied, and the high-strength connection between magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy is achieved through ultrasonic-assisted transition liquid phase diffusion bonding. It connects to the magnesium alloy by pre-coating Zn-15 Al intermediate layer on the aluminum alloy base material and setting the temperature.By method of simple test single variable, study pre-coating temperature,pre-coating thickness, welding temperature, ultrasonic time, secondary ultrasound time and other parameters in turn.By observing SEM,EDS and Pressure shear test, this article studies the relationship between the change of the shape of the joint and the fracture the position of the joint. Finally it achieved that the joint shear strength reaches over 70% of the strength of the magnesium alloy base metal.By studing pre-coating temperature,pre-coating thickness, welding temperature and ultrasonic time, find that there are a lot of weld in the middle layer compounds resulting low strength in joint. At about 60 MPa,by observing the fracture position, find that the fracture is basically among these compounds. In order to improve the strength of the joints, applies the second ultrasound on the joints after the end of an ultrasound, the study found that there are welding seams in intermetallic compounds after appling the second ultrasonic about 15 s,but intermetallic compounds are to the weld growth into a fine tip and are interwoven distribution with Al-Zn microstructure. So the shear strength attains to 80.4MPa.
