Asynchronous generator has a variety of advantages,such as the structure is solid and contracted,the production cost is low,the repair and reconstruction is convenience,and the transient characteristic is superior.However,the asynchronous generator has a poor capacity with load which restricts its wide range of applications.The voltage of the output terminal becomes instability and then producing fluctuation when the external parameters changes.What's more,the instability is a deadly factor to the asynchronous generator and various loads.This paper makes relevant research aiming at this disadvantage and attempts to adopt the short-shunt connection of capacitors to compensate reactive power to resolve the problem.It is easy to conduct the simulation of the asynchronous generator for we can utilize the module library in Simulink which are suitable for the simulation of the circuit and the generator.This paper studies the proposed problem using the simulation model of the asynchronous generator with rectifier load establishing the Simulink software under the premise of taking the magnetic saturation effects and nonlinear into account.This paper completed the establishment of the Simulink model of the asynchronous generator with rectifier load utilizing Simulink which is the typical simulation tool.The model takes the magnetic saturation effects and nonlinear into consideration and based on transient-state equivalents circuit of the asynchronous generator.Furthermore,the paper demonstrated the accuracy of the established Simulink model by carrying out the experiment.This research analyzes,studies and compares the relationship between the transient change of the voltage of the output terminal,and the power factor and impedance of the load when analyzing the transient voltage of the output terminal of the asynchronous generator using the Simulink model established in this paper.It is demonstrated from the research that the short-shunt connection of capacitors can provide additional reactive power that is good for the asynchronous generator to produce a more stable terminal voltage if we adopting the program of short-shunt connection of capacitors to compensate reactive power.Meanwhile,the Simulink model of asynchronous generator connecting the short-shunt connection of capacitors is set up with the Simulink software,which is used to research the influence of the short-shunt connection of capacitors to the asynchronous generator with the inductive load or uncontrollable rectifier load.What's more,affects of the variety parameters of the short-shunt connection of capacitors to the voltage of the output and the transient process of the voltage in load terminal is studied in detail and analyzed in detail.The large part of the simulation wave-forms id validated by actual experiments in this paper and the consistency between the simulation results and the experiments results is relatively good which confirms the validity of the study process and the accuracy of the model directly.
