Nowadays,many classic architectures of the Internet are fixed,known as the ossification of the Internet,which has become a major obstacle to the development of Internet technology.A number of solutions have been proposed,such as improving intra-domain and inter-domain routing to improve network reliability,providing end-to-end links to users and providing network resources for new applications(data centers,cloud computing,and network virtualization)to improve Dynamic Service Quality Management.In order to address these needs,the next-generation architecture of the future Internet introduces the concept of a software-defined network(SDN).In SDN,the control module is separated from the forwarding module,which can make the software components in the control module more efficient than the traditional network.The intellectual property rights of the device suppliers can be protected as well.SDN has become a hot topic in the academia and industry area.The thesis introduces the advantages and disadvantages of SDN with SDN usage cases and related standardization.Centralized SDN model and distributed SDN model are explained.And the challenges and opportunities of hybrid SDN model are shown from different perspectives.Vehicular network is a kind of the mobile Internet.It is a fusion technology of communication,environmental protection,energy saving,security.However there are still many problems in vehicular networks,such as delay and success rate.The thesis focuses on the spectrum strategy and data storage in the vehicular network.For spectrum strategy,spectrum awareness and spectrum prediction can be achieved by software-defined method,thereby improving the success rate of data transmission;lucene full-text search is adopted to achieve efficient data storage.Therefore,software-defined technology can improve the data transmission efficiency and reduce the collision possibility,thereby ensuring the safety of the vehicular network.Besides,the simulation of software-defined technology is employed in the vehicular environment,which can verify that it is effective to apply SDN technology in the vehicular networks.Finally,the thesis introduces the development and application of SDN in terms of security challenges and opportunities from various of views...
