Our country is frequently attacked by cold weather,and blizzard disasters often occur.Particularly in the northeastern region,the winter is cold and dry,and snow accumulates to form "seasonal snow." Buildings have been severely tested in the snow and ice disasters.There have been frequent occurrences of large-span light steel structures and greenhouse structures in snow disasters.The study found that the collapse of buildings is mainly caused by uneven distribution of snow loads causing roof load to exceed the design limit.At present,the research on snow load in China focuses on the field surveys in open areas,but there are few studies on the design of building structuresconsideringthe snow load.Based on the background of this research,this paper mainly measured the snow cover density characteristics of Harbin and snow load distribution characteristics of low roofs.By comparing with the domestic and international load specifications,this paper provides a reference for improving the load specifications of Chinese building structures.The research work in this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Based on the Snow Fork snow characteristics analyzer and the HOBO small-scale meteorological station,the snow-covered density was measured,and the influence of factors such as wind speed,temperature,solar radiation,and snow thickness on the snow cover density was investigated.(2)The snow load distribution characteristics of typical low roofs,such as single slope double span,double slope double span,arch,etc.Comparing the measured results with the load specifications of China(GB50009-2012),the United States(ASCE7-05),the United Kingdom(BS-1988),Canada(NBC-2005),and Europe(EU-2003),this article can provide a reference to improve the load specifications in China.(3)The snow load distribution characteristics of arched greenhouses were studied by means of measured measurements.The effects of the degree of roof covering material and the environment of the building on the distribution of snow load on the roof of the arched greenhouse were investigated.Through the analysis of Typical roof surface area snow distribution coefficient of Chinese greenhouse structure specifications "Agricultural Greenhouse Structural Load Specification"(GBT51183-2016)and the "Greenhouse Design Standards"(NGMA)of United States,"Gardening Facilities Safety Structure Benchmark"(temporary benchmark)of Japan.This paper found that there are differences between the load specifications of the greenhouse structure in China and those in the United States and Japan.
