Clinical Observation Of Kaijianjiannao Granule Combined With External Counterpulsation In The Treatment Of Vascular Dementia With Qi Deficiency And Phlegm And Stasis Syndrome After Ischemic Stroke

Objective:To observe the improvement of the clinical syndrome and the cognitive ability and the ability to live by The granules of Kaixinjiannao and Enhanced External Counterpulsation combination therapy treating Vascular dementia(Shen-xu,Tan Zhuo) after ischemic stroke.To explore theoretical basis and feasible measure for Traditional Chinese Medicine applying in gerontology.Methods:Collected 120 cases that are selected in accord with the standard of vascular dementia in the inpatient department of the neurology and gerontology were randomly divided into four groups,each group consists of 30 patients: The western medicine group were regularly and purely given western medicine treatment to treat VD, the chinese medicine group were cured with The granules of Kaixinjiannao,the two groups left were given western medicine with external counterpulsation in addition,and chinese medicine with external counterpulsation in addition. Both four groups were given aspirin and atorvastatin as a basic treatment. After four months, I will observe and analyse the changes of clinical syndrome and MMSE,ADL scale to achieve the conclusions.Result:1.Only two groups has apparent difference in MMSE scale before and after the treatment,MMSE scale of the Chinese medicin and external counterpulsation group is much better than the western medicine group.2.The Chinese medicin and external counterpulsation group achieves a much better score in the ability to live according to the ADL scale.3 The clinical syndromes of the Chinese medicin and external counterpulsation group improve distinctively compared with the three groups left. 4. No adverse reaction occurs during the observation process.Conclusion:The granules of Kaixinjiannao and Enhanced External Counterpulsation combination therapy has obviously advantage in improving clinical syndroms and the two scales,so we can extend the application of this method.
