Explore The Witchcraft And Process Of Horqin Shaman's Treatment Of Mental Illness From An Anthropological Perspective

This thesis is based on the example of curing mental disease by three Horqin Shaman who live in XILINGOOL MENG and I get the first---handed materials by field work,try to interpret and explain the time,the place,and the step of Witchcraft.,the symbol of ceremony and the effect and function of Shaman to it's followers and society.by Anthropological aspects.Furthermore,I try to further study why people have large demand and reliance on religion,what the function and repay of the religion,and how to keep it's status for people with the development of technology.This thesis is made up of the introduction,main part(consist of three parts),conclusion and appendix(special name of Shaman,photos,thanks,and interviews.).In introduction part,talked about the reason of choosing this topic and purpose and meaning of this topic,former research and the way of study.In first chapter,introduced Horqin Shaman and three Horqin Shamans that mentioned in the thesis.In second chapter,introduced Horqin Shaman's wichcraft step of curing disease and patients in details.In tird chapter,mainly talked about the function of Shaman to society and followers,and the sysmbol meaning of the witchcraft.
