At present,China has become the most aging populous country in the world and one of the countries with the fastest growing aging population.According to UN statistics,by the middle of this century,China will have nearly 500 million people over the age of 60,and this figure will exceed the total population of the United States,the population is facing the increasing elderly health demand,recuperate class hospital medical service quality put forward a huge challenge.How to scientifically manage and improve the service quality of the medical industry has become an important subject for medical workers.The quality of medical service is an important factor affecting the satisfaction of patients.It is of great practical significance to improve the quality of medical services in convalescent hospital by clarifying its components and measuring methods.According to previous studies,there are many generalized researches on the evaluation of the quality of medical services,but there are few studies of the evaluation of the medical service quality in convalescent hospitals.So far,a relatively complete service quality measurement scale has not been developed.SERVQUAL method,which was born abroad,has a good applicability.Currently,it has been widely used in the service industry.The five-dimensional structure of its service structure has been approved by many scholars.Taking the convalescent medical industry as the research object,this paper,first of all,reviews theories that related to service quality and developed relevant scales on the basis of SERVQUAL and the specificity of nature of the convalescent medical industry;Secondly,this paper collects relevant data by questionnaires and then studies the status quo of the service quality of the convalescent medical industry.Finally,the survey data are analyzed by SPSS software.The results show that the questionnaires are of high reliability and validity and they could be used to evaluate the service quality of the convalescent medical industry.The findings show that the service quality of the medical industry includes five dimensions:safety,empathy,tangibility,reliability and responsiveness;the convalescent medical industry lacks systematic cognition of the service quality;the "responsiveness" of medical services is poor;the "empathy" of the patients has not been paid enough attention and other problems related to service quality.This research and its results are an important supplement to the research on the evaluation of medical service quality in convalescent hospitals.Based on SERVQUAL,measurement scales for the service quality of the convalescent medical industry are developed according to the features of the convalescent medical industry.A breakthrough is made in setting research variables.It is of theoretical value and practical significance to improve the service quality of the convalescent medical industry and reduce the contradictions and disputes between doctors and patients.
