The sports brands started late in our country,of which the design innovative ability is relatively weak.With the advent of the information age,as a way of exchange between countries,sports has become a carrier of cultural dissemination and how to improve the competitiveness and innovative ability of sports brand is particularly important;along with the homogenization trend of sports products,simple use of technology,function and price advantage is unable to meet the the growing spiritual need of consumers and enhance the cultural connotation of the product as well as effectively promote the brand's core competitiveness.This paper studies Chinese traditional graphics as research object and ball game equipment as the breakthrough point to sum up rules and problems in application of Chinese traditional graphics to ball game equipment one by one through case study about domestic and foreign of sports brands and use of Chinese traditional graphics.Combined with my own design practice,the paper analyses the design process of the "Chinese dragon" football shoes,and gives some advice for Puma's development in China through application of Chinese traditional graphics to ball game equipment.
