The Modality Of The Development Of Mural Art In The Information Age

Mural art has a long history of development. Since the primitive society, the dawn of mankind from birth to continuous evolution, the original human developed the original form of murals-- cliff painting. This old schema from a few million years ago is the origin of the mural art. With the development of the times and the progress of mankind, the mural art hade different appearance of evolution and different degree in every dynasty. Old Yinshan rock painting, Qin Han portrait stone(brick), and Dunhuang murals which had experienced sixteen dynasties, all show the endless charm of the mural art. "Mural" can be analyzed from two aspects: one is the "cliff", the other is "painting". The former is the carrier, and the latter is the form or means. Generally speaking, both the "cliff" and "painting" form the concept of mural art by means of art. Mural art is a diverse and comprehensive concept from its very birth.After the new Chinese established, mural artists begun to seek a breakthrough in the traditional mural art on basis of the inheritance of traditional mural art. Especially the implementation of reform policies in China, the stability of economic construction and social environment in the late 1970 s, which made the mural art ushered a new development opportunity. Among them the most representative one is the mural group in the capital airport. The "new form", "new materials" and "new ideas" all are the pronoun of the mural group in the capital airport, and the exploration of mural arts for mural art begun forming in China. After entering the information age, the development of new media technology brings unprecedented new changes for the mural art getting rid of flat and static ancient form. With the advance of the information age, the "cliff" in the mural makes a breakthrough. All man-made and natural space can be seen as "cliff "to understand, and "painting" also ushers new understanding, the optical technology,video technology and other new media technology as the means and methods of"painting", make the "painting" no longer be "plat and static”, while the development and use of acousto-optic interaction and sound technology realize the complicated multielement of "painting". In this paper, through sorting out the development skeleton of traditional murals and the current situation of the merging of new mediatechnology and the mural art, to carry on a feasibility of development direction and ecological space of mural art in the information age.This paper is divided into five parts.The preface summarizes the reasons and the motive force of the reform and innovation in the new era.This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter summarizes the development situation of mural art in each period from the angle of historical development respectively, and describe and summarize the function, material, form,and the development state of traditional mural, modern mural and contemporary mural.The second chapter compares the different aspects of the modern mural art and traditional mural art, so as to obtain the advantages of the modern mural art on the carrier, material, creation means and style compared to traditional mural art, and modern murals art bring a rich and colorful visual experience to the viewer after the absorption of new media technology.The third chapter discusses that the modern mural painting integrates with modern multimedia technology on the basis of absorbing and drawing traditional murals. The realization of integration of mural art and the space environment, social culture, and the spirit of the times, improves and enriches the spiritual living space of the public.The conclusion part is a summary of the whole thesis, which overviews how the modern mural should how achieve new development and progress under the background of information age and how the mural artists can improve themselves in the new era, and make the mural art to a broader new world.
