On The Second Creation Of Dancers

Creation of a dance work is inseparable from the artistic arrangement of the director and the performing arts of dancers, the two complement each other. As vivid and emotional persons,dancers should not be treated as tools to express director's idea, but with self-understandings and awareness to convey through the body after being in agreement with the director's requirements and guidance. In the process, dancers will have to involve the secondary creations. Therefore, a good dance work must rely on high-quality secondary creations of dancers. The second creations could not only plump the contents, structure, and emotions of a dance work, but also could show the special stage charm of dancers. As a dancer, I hope that through my true feeling of the dance work "Cloud", I could discuss and analysis the practical experiences and processes of the secondary creations from classroom to stage in details.This thesis is on the basis of dancer's practical experience, to state the secondary creations step by step. It firstly describes what is the dancer's secondary creations, and cards clearly the relationship between dancers and secondary creations, and dancers' position in dance works; It secondly uses “Cloud” as an examples to demonstrate why dancer's creation is of great significance, including detailed discussions on how do the secondary creations enrich the contents, plump the structure, enhance the emotion and strong the appeal and vitality of dance works, and so on; In the third part, based on the practical experiences and personal feeling of my own dance work, I demonstrate on how to carry out the secondary creations, procedures and emphasis of secondary creations.
