This thesis focused on Nuotang opera of Guizhou, the author has got the fist-hand documents by field investigation, and referred to the relevant theories of performance form, and explored the issues of performing form exist in Nuotang opera of Guizhou.This thesis has combed the domestic and foreign research results of Nuotang opera and the dramatic performance form. The author holds that although the previous studies of Nuotang opera have taken many results, in the aspect of performance form, the studies of Guizhou's Nuotang opera in is rather weak. Besides,many articles have concerned the performance form, but mostly only described form macroscopic perspective, not very thorough.This thesis investigated the performance form of Guizhou's Nuotang opera through numerous field investigation. According to the references, this thesis applied the literature theory and the national drama theory to analyze the performance form and evolution of Guizhou's Nuotang opera. The full text is divided into six chapters,about 50,000 words.The first chapter introduce the origin and significance of the research, then, it analyzes the existing circumstances of research in both China and foreign countries,and describes the present research situation. Lastly, it set forth the the ideas, methods,and innovation used in this thesis.The second chapter is the overview of Guizhou's Nuotang opera. Firstly, with related concepts discussed, the author puts emphasis on the characters of Nuotang opera as a national drama. Then it analyzes the historical evolution of Guizhou's Nuotang opera. Finally, it combs the geographical distribution of Guizhou's Nuotang opera.In the third chapter, the author introduces the structure of Guizhou's Nuotang opera. Firstly, it combs the sacred performance space of Nuotang opera, secondly, it integrally grasps the structure rule of Nuotang opera, lastly, it correctly analyzes the structures of four types of Nuotang opera.Chapter Four describes the art form of Nuotang opera in Guizhou. Firstly, the author hold on the plays of Nuotang opera as a whole. Secondly, it analyzes the performance way of plays. Finally, it analyzes the ceremony and entertainment in plays by reading the script.Chapter Five is focused on morphological evolution the of Nuotang opera in Guizhou. This chapter summarized the evolution of Nuotang opera from three aspects, which are the evolution of performance spaces, the evolution of performance patterns, and the artistic of performance ways respectively.The last chapter has carried on the summary to the above chapters.
