On The Use Of Metal Materials In Decorative Painting

Metal materials in China have a long history. In ancient times the metal material was mainly for practical appliance, wherein a small part went with decoration. With the emergence of modern society, new ideas, new materials and new technology, the way we understand and apply decorative painting materials changes. At the present stage metallic material in decorative paintings is drawing more and more attention, and the simple form of language of decorative painting is challenged, therefore, we propose a new design concept of the decorative painting, using the unique sheen, color and texture of metallic material, applying the combination of metal and other materials to decorative painting. It has a certain personalized decorative effect in the formation of different texture, beauty and value. In this paper, the use of decorative painting metal material as the main research content is divided into four areas:First, understand the background and current situation of the research, based on the analysis of the current situation on the proposed purpose of the research; secondly, explain metal material concepts and features, review the history of metal materials; Again, do some comparative study of the difference between East and West in term of decorative painting metal material applications; Finally, research expansion of contemporary painting decorative metal material as a language, investigate contemporary metal material in the use of decorative painting development and artistic value, explain its decorative style, combined with the graduate works of the author, analyze and summarize the use of metal materials in detail, and then draw conclusions and the future prospects for the development of metal materials decorative painting. In modern society where science and technology develops rapidly and persistently, decorative paintings with metal material emerge in endlessly, which will has a profound impact on the decorative painting development of China.
