Time is something that we cannot see, touch or even hear but has accompanied us every day in our lives.Firstly,I mainly talked about my understanding on the concept of time from three different angles.Physical conception of the time---time originated from movement which is one of the dimensions in space.Philosophical definition of the time---time exists objectively, which is the internal regulation and combination of everything in the world.Psychological conception of the time---psychological time is how we have felt about the time perception change.Time conception is how we response to the continuity and succession of objective things and phenomenon.Beside, understanding the application of time concept from the perspective of art history. The fine arts is the visual arts, demonstrating everything by its shape.Time conception is invariably the main characteristic of the art works.such as “Rape of the Daughter of Leucippus “ Peter Paul Rubens.Human art expresses the time concept by visible things. The extensibility of time combines with the painting that gives the painting endless vitality. Finally,my time-themed painting is based on the perspectives of physical and psychological time, restoring the true expression by emphasizing the simultaneity;they both are coordinating and conflicting alternately. In attempt to express the effect of different time, different dimension in the same physical time by utilizing the unique way of painitng.like my works “Bathing in the light” “Big Event” “Pilgrim” etc.they all combined multiple time into the piece of work. The art creation has contained the element of time in all ages. And the time has always accompanied development of fine art.The combination of time concept and paintingt will be my main task of exploration in the future.
