Analysis Of The Language Personality Of Russian Political Discourse

Language personality is the the combination of ability and characteristic of restricting the creation and perception of verbal product(text).The concept takes "human factors" as the essence,which is the complex of " language speaker" and "speaker's language".Based on the theory of linguistic personality structure of Yu.N.Calaurov(?.?.????????)and taking Russian political text as a material,we analyze linguistic personality of Russian political text,to discover "human factors" through the text.We hope that we can help Russian learners and workers understand Russian political text as well as politicians and Russian nation better.This thesis consists of four chapters:The first chapter is the history,current situation and trend of linguistic personality research at home and abroad.The second chapter is about interpretation of the related concepts and the theoretical basis.We define the concept of discourse,political discourse and Russian political discourse,determine the scope of corpus used in the thesis,explain personality theory and linguistic personality theory,explain what the language personality of Russian political text is.The third chapter is the analysis section of the language personality in the Russian political text.We use examples to analyze the level of words-semantic,language-cognition and communication-pragmatic step by step in the Russian political text.In the last chapter we sum up language personality in the Russian political text we have analysed.We create the model of verbal portrait of politicians,and use the results of previous analysis to summarize Russian politicians'(taking Putin,Medvedev for example)language personality characteristics from four aspects of the model.This thesis breaks out the traditional model of text analysis(that is,only concerned with the aspect of language such as vocabulary,morphology,syntax,semantic,stylistics and so on),introduces deeper research in cognition,communicative pragmatic and verbal portrait,forms the analytical perspective on language personality of combining with microcosmic review of "speaker's language" and macro study of "speakers in language",provids a new perspective for text analysis.And we hope that this thesis can help Russian learners and workers understand Russian political text better,know Russian politicians and Russian nation more fully,and then promote cross-cultural communication and friendly contacts between countries.
