Selective attention is selected from the outside environment inside the specific target information to process, while filtering out other non-target information of the psychological cognitive process.Short-term memory is the person to stimulate the information processing,coding,short-term retention and limited memory capacity.Cognitive flexibility is to adapt to change the situation and change to another idea or behavior to meet the needs of the new context. And Traffic safety cognition refers to the general knowledge and safety knowledge about road traffic and the cognition of the whole traffic environment in the traffic environment.Researches have confirmed that selective attention,short-term memory and cognitive flexibility have been found to play an important role in traffic safety cognition, and selective attention has different effects on short-term memory and cognitive flexibility.According to the cognitive processing model, this study proposed selective attention as independent variables, traffic safety cognition as the dependent variable,short-term memory and cognitive flexibility as mediating variables.Short-term memory, cognitive flexibility and traffic safety cognition of 90 Intellectual disability children, and to explore the relationship between the four, with a view to Intellectual disability children related cognitive areas Research and educational practice. The results of this study are as follows:(1)The scores of Intellectual disability children on selective attention was increasing with age. There were significant differences in the scores of different age groups.Among them,13-15 age group score was significantly higher than the 7-9 age group and 10-12 age group,10-12 age group score was significantly higher than the7-9 age group score.(2)There were significant differences in the scores of Intellectual disability children on short-term memory. In the digital memory span, the scores of the 13-15 age group and the 10-12 age group were significantly higher than those of the 7-9 age group. And the picture memory span,13-15 age group was significantly higher than the 7-9 age group and 10-12 age group.(3)There were also significant differences in the scores of Intellectual disability children on cognitive flexibility. The correct rate of the 13-15 age group was significantly higher than that of the 7-9 age group and the 10-12 age group.(4)There were significant differences in the scores of Intellectual disability children on traffic safety cognition. In the tasks, the correct rate of the 13-15 agegroup and the 10-12 age group was significantly higher than the 7-9 age group.(5)There was significant positive correlation between selective attention,short-term memory, cognitive flexibility and traffic safety cognition and their respective classification types of Intellectual disability children.(6)short-term memory and cognitive flexibility play an intermediary role between selective attention and traffic safety cognition.
