As one classification of Chinese traditional painting,the elaborate-style painting has a very long history of development.The comparatively perfect form language of elaborate-style painting has been taken shape in the long-term creative practice.A lot of influential works of art have been came into life since people do creative works by following this form language,but nowadays,with the frequently communication of oriental and western civilizations,we can easily meet the form language of western painting which is totally different from ours,and the rapid-development high-tech prompts the rapid-transition of materials and medium,all of which have direct influence on contemporary people's lifestyle and aesthetic taste and also have indirect influence on the form language of elaborate-style painting.How to adapt society changes for the form language of elaborate-style painting will be analyzed and studied in this paper in a relatively overall way.The form language can be analyzed from two aspects,one is to explore the internal form language of elaborate-style painting from its line,composition,color,skill and artistic conception,the other is to explore the external form language of it from its pigment,media and show form,and finally to summarize its overall development and change rules which can provide new thoughts and references for creating the elaborate-style painting in the future.In the creative practices of Chinese elaborate-style painting,to master its form language is the key.Only analyze and understand the form language of elaborate-style painting in an objective way and find its development directions and rules,will the mental nourishment and creative support be provided for the creation of elaborate-style painting in a better way in the future.
