Myths And Art

Myth and art are the fruits of the development of human culture,and they are closely connected.Cassirer,as a famous philosopher of the twentieth Century,researched all aspects of human culture,and his theory of mythology and art deeply impacted academic circles.Therefore,this article starts from the Cassirer's cultural philosophy perspective,hopes a comprehensive study of the myth and art,in order to reveal the relationship between the two.This thesis consists of three parts: introduction,text(divided into three parts)and conclusion.The introduction is divided into two aspects.On the one hand,it introduces the process of the study of Chinese mythology,the perspective of text interpretation to anthropology.On the other hand,the it introduces the theoretical background of Cassirer's Cultural Symbolic Philosophy,which is derived from the expansion of epistemology,and combs the research achievements of the academic circles on the concept of myth and artistic conception of Cassirer.The first part mainly discusses the features of symbolic of Cassirerl's philosophy and art.Symbol is the core of Cassirer's philosophical thought,and human beings have established all kinds of cultural achievements with the construction of symbol.As a result of the human culture,the myth and art reflect the constructive function of the symbol.The second part mainly discusses the mythological thinking in art.There are three aspects of the mythological thinking in art.Firstly,in the space structure,the artistic space embodies the structural features of the mythological space,including the emphasis on the position,the breaking and the reorganization of the space.Secondly,in the logic of time,the time of art shows the flexibility similar to the time of myth,but the rules of time in art no longer have the material meaning in the time of myth,and show more freedom.Finally,in terms of the number of systems,the number of art continues the features,in which is number associated with the object of the myth,but in the art of this connection is as a form.The third part mainly discusses the life characteristic of art and myth.Both the myth and the art show a kind of identity of life.However,in art,the status of the subject is higher than that in the myth.The two both get the characteristics of imagination,but the imagination of art is a kind of active imagination.The conclusion part is the form meaning of Cassirer's artistic concept.On the one hand,people put down the material burden from and their freedom with form.on the other hand,Cassirer's excessive attention to the form neglected the cultural content in the works of art.
