The Role Of Moral Emotions In The Distribution Behavior Of 4-6 Years Old Children

Allocation behavior refers to that the children assigned disposable resources to others. Although numerous studies have inspected the development of allocation behavior , but those studies were focused on the influencing factors, and how to cultivate allocation behavior. This research adopts the dictator game research paradigm to examines the role of moral emotions in 207 4～6 years old children allocation behavior.Study 1 has combined moral emotion story interview method and the dictator game method to study the role of moral emotion in 4～6 years old children allocation behavior.Results showed that: (1) children aged 4～6 years have the ability to judge moral emotion, 6 years old children’s moral emotion understanding ability have achieved stable level; (2) compared with positive moral emotion situation,children have presented more allocation behavior in negative moral emotion situation;(3) the interaction effect of the age and gender is significant, the boy’s allocation rate is higher than the girl in 5 years old,6 years old girl’s allocation rate is higher than boys (4) in the negative moral emotion situation, 5 and 6 years old children tend to choose altruistic distribution and altruism, and 4 years old children insist that the choice of benefit distribution.Study 2 has selected the guilty this specific negative moral sentiment to study the role of guilt emotion on the distribution of children’s behavior, and generalization of behavior. Results show that: (1) in guilty emotion context with clear clues, 4～6 years old children can carry on the judgment to the guilt feelings; Even in the case of emotional clues is not obvious, 6 years old children can also identify the guilty feelings (2) along with the age growth, after the guilt feelings, children’s allocation rate gradually increased, the ratio of the choice of altruism allocation gradually increased (3) in guilt situation with clues obvious , part of 5 years old children and 6 years old children’s behavior began to appear generalization for distribution, girls generalization of situation more obvious.To sum up, this study will assign moral emotion and behavior together,preliminary explored the moral emotions influence on distribution of children’s behavior, reveals the moral emotion for 4～6 years old children in the dictator game under experimental paradigm, the influence of the general distribution behavior and forced to choose. On the one hand , it has provided empirical evidence of the cause of distribution behavior,on the other hand it also expanded the currently knowledge of the distribution behavior of daily life, and provide the reference of how to cultivate the individual distribution of altruistic behavior.
