Franz Schubert is a composer who comes from Austria is a paragon of early romantic music in 19 centrury.His works connect music with poems which full of emotions and portries.<Introduction and variations> is the instrument work by Schubert which wrote only for flute,it was adapted according to the song <Trockne Blumen> of No.18 in the song-cycle <Die schoene Muellerin>.It is a typical masterpiece of romantic music for flute.This thesis analyse and expound the whole work through five chapters,study how to play it well by analysing the structure of the work,the harmony,and the music style.Also,to discuss how can the historical consciousness of music have the effect on the playing by re-creation and the compare of recordings from the flute musicians.
