The Christian Spirit In Western Music

Christian music is the cornerstone of the development of Western music,in its thousands of years of historical changes,and always with the current political,economic,cultural and other fields are closely linked to the formation of a multi-disciplinary,multi-angle form of music.Requiants as a Christian genre of genre,the "death" and "survival" of the two themes of interpretation of the ultimate meaning of life,is the spirit of the deceased and the living comfort.This kind of work has the supreme pursuit of the human spirit and the noble belief in God,Requiem as a memorial to the souls of the mass from the simple worship to the development of human spiritual level,in the content and form always embodies the Christian Doctrine and spirit,throughout the entire stage of the development of Western music,is an important part of Christian music.This paper chooses three important periods of western music development:classical period,romantic period,modern times as the representative.Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791),Johannes Brahms(1833-1897),Benjamin Britten(1913),Benjamin Britten,1913 The author makes a comparative analysis of the inscriptions of the three composers,and finds out the commonness and personality of the works by studying the creative features and music connotations of the works.From the background of creation,singing,vocals,From the perspective of the characteristics of their works,combined with previous research on the relevant areas of the study,to explore the Requiem creation model and the development of the status quo,to explain the works of Christian doctrine and spirit.The article contrasts to the discovery that the three Requiants convey religious feelings of Christian music from different perspectives,including the Christian spirit of salvation,gratitude,eternal life and peace.Mozart explained the ultimate topic of death:only to believe in the existence of God and get salvation,after death can only rest in life;Brahms closely "blessing" theme,making the music bright and cheerful,bring the hope of human life;After the war to emphasize God's love,called for the peace of the world valuable.The performance of the internal structure of the three works is supported by the moral meaning of the Christian spirit.His love of human nature and love of God are also the inspiration and source of the composer's creation.In today's rich and varied non-religious music genre,we can still feel the Christian spirit breath.The value of Christian music embodies the value and survival of the people,its religious spirit has always supported the performance of the works,and human soul are inseparable,affecting the development of the entire Western music.
