Yan Culture Tombs Research

The object of this thesis is to study the Graves in the Yan culture.Yan culture was the archaeological and cultural relics that created by Yan people who refers to the beginning of Western Zhou Dynasty to the Qin Dynasty.The thesis is concerned with the archaeological materials coming from 289 burials around the areas.This sort of comprehensive information available,based on the culture of Yan stage,stage of graves in the Yan culture analysis and discussion of such issues.The content of the thesis is divided into six chapters:Chapter one is preface.The concept of Yan and culture,spatial and temporal scope of this study were defined.Chapter two illustrates the various phases about the burials of Yan archaeological research about the burials of Yan and established a chronological order of division about the burials of Yan,Chapter three is the discussion of the burial hierarchy.Chapter four is a thorough study on the measurable data from various burials provides a better way to research the tabernacles and tomb passages and their features.Chapter five is discussing the funeral furniture and funeral ceremony of Yan culture.Last part is conclusion.It contains summary of several major conclusions in my humble opinion,statement about deficiency of this thesis.
