Pragmatic Analysis Of Diplomatic Language

Diplomatic language itself is a synthetic language(or working language),which can make the different people with cultural backgrounds communicate with each other in the process of dialogue.Diplomatic language is a relatively mild language,it tries to solve the problem of communication without conflict.This paper is mainly on the base of the foreign ministry's regular press conference from January to August of the year of 2016.The quantity of the question and answer is totally 1422.The author analyzes questions and answers in number and nature,and classifies them.The paper is divided into three parts:the first part are mainly the analysis of questions of the regular press conference.Questions modes consist of"shifou"type,"nengfou"type,"huiying"type,and"pinglun"type from the point view of category.According to the questions asked of the content,the questions mode are divided into four types:asking for view,standpoint and altitude,asking for affair,and asking for comment.The second part is the analysis of the response of the regular press conference,the response modes are made up of direct answer and indirect answer.Positive direct answer and negative direct answer belong to direct answer.Given an irrelevant answer and avoided answer belong to indirect answer.According to the analysis of date in question modes,Positive direct answer and negative direct answer,the degree of the limit of the "nengfou"type is high,the degree of the limit of"pinglun"type is low and it has a broad range to answer,which indicates that the order of the answer in direct answer is "nengfou"type<"huiying"type<"shifou"type<"pinglun"type,and the order of the answer in indirect answer is "shifou"type>"huiying"type>"nengfou"type>"pinglun"type.The result of the direct answer and indirect answer for question shows that,the higher the ratio of indirect answer is the lower success of communication/effectiveness is.Correspondingly,the success of communication/effectiveness of "shifou"type is the lowest than other types.Obviously,the question modes are closely connected to the rate of the success of communication/effectiveness.From the view of degree freedom in questions and scope of the answers,the closer the problem focus is,the lower the success rate of the dialogue is,the farther the problem focus is,the higher he success rate of the dialogue is.The type of question restricts the distance of the focus of the problem,and the distance of the question affects the effectiveness of communication.And the distance of the question affects the effectiveness of communication.Generally speaking,the focus of the problem,the limitations of the problem and the success rate of communication are influenced each other.The change of the effectiveness of communication depends on the change of the distance between the problem focus and question modes.The closer the distance of the question focus is,the lower the effectiveness of communication is,The farther the distance of the question focus is,the higher the effectiveness of communication is.Finally,the author has a pragmatic analysis on the basis of the result;the pragmatic strategy is put into practice for diplomatic language.It mainly analyses the basic principles of pragmatic principles in cooperative principle politeness principle and ambiguity,through two aspects analyzing in questions and answers.We can deepen the understanding to the foreign ministry regular press conference through this research,which has theoretical value and practical significance for press conference.Furthermore,the people will get the skill in communication if they appropriately use pragmatic strategies,and they also achieve a well communication effect and improve the effectiveness of communication.
