The Clean and honest thought as an important thought of the pre-qin Confucian ethical thought, both expressed the basic requirement of the daily life of the individual, emphasizing individual should be careful to abstinence, not greedy, founder of upright and outspoken; At the same time, is one of the rulers must have quality,through toward accomplishment, the pre-qin Confucianism emphasizes the ruler should improve their clean power, enhance the ability of the ancient society of our country clean the appearance of prosperity and the development of the society, to some extent, played a positive role.In strengthening the construction of socialist modernization today, inherit and carry forward the pre-qin Confucian clean and honest thought the positive beneficial ingredient, for today’s honest cultural construction is of great significance, to improve people’s moral accomplishment and the country to build a clean government has an important guiding role, to achieve the goal of harmonious society of today has an important realistic meaning. In this paper, we use the part four discusses the understanding of the pre-qin Confucian clean and honest thought.The first part mainly discusses the two aspects of content: the pre-qin Confucian clean and honest thought form the background and theoretical basis. First has analyzed the connotation of “integrity” and the basic standard, in theprocess of the cultivation of the concrete, self-denial is the requirements, clear is the basic principle, public or private frugality contentment is a valuable clean virtue.
