| The development of criminal proceedings has been changing and evolving,but the status of testimony of witnesses in criminal proceedings is unmatched by other types of evidence.Testimony of witnesses in the criminal lawsuit not only occupies the important position,but also widely used in the criminal procedure as a type of evidence.Its importance is not allow to ignore,because it is often related to whether can bring criminals to justice or not.However,thanks to the law to protect criminal witness in our country is not enough perfect and the protection of criminal witness is sadly lacking,there are many social arriers to hinder the criminal witnesses from appearing in court and testifying.Therefore,China needs to establish a set of system of criminal witness protection system which is suitable for the situation of our country.So,it not only can punish crime and maintain social stability,also can let the criminal witness appear in court to testif against the defendant and make them punished severely by law which also helps to create a good social atmosphere.The problems of criminal witness protection in the criminal procedure system of our country is found not only by summarizing the basis,the significance and value of criminal witness protection system in our country,but also by studying the United Kingdom,the United States,Germany advanced criminal witness protection system in this paper.It also describes some feasible suggestions to solve these problems and set up a set of the perfect system of criminal witness protection system which is applicable to the situation of our country. |
