Badminton has been spread into China since the end of 1920 s till mid-1930 s. Since Chinese economic reform, badminton in China gained huge and rapid development. It becomes one of most vital Chinese competitive sports and has been in the world-leading level for a long time. The competitive badminton requires athletes to have not only great fitness, rapid response, professional technics, but also advanced tactics thinking. This article aims to support the theoretical basis for badminton women's singles players from analyzing their abilities to predict the course of action with the aspect of Game Theory, by adapting methods of documentary analysis, game theory, logical analysis and statistical analysis, in order to improve tactics to achieve better completion results. The conclusions from this article is shown below:1. Badminton women's singles belongs to Sequential Game and does not contain any advantages or disadvantages of initiative. When adopting Backward Induction of Game Theory, the women's singles players should follow the principle of “expecting forward, reasoning backward” to predict the course of action. In the competition, the players should express more on strengths rather than on weaknesses.2. Referring to Path Dependence Theory, the badminton women's singles players are able to predict opponents' course of action and use the hybrid technique and the random technique to avoid own course of action being predicted by opponents.3. During the competition of badminton women's singles, using rational thinking to make decision and prediction can bring maximum benefits. However, perceptual thinking is unavoidable. It is possible for athletes to predict the course of action based on factors such as their own empirical intuition and opponents' risk preferences.
