The physics course standard put forward, the overall goal of physics course is to improve all students' scientific literacy. The students' argumentation ability can be regarded as one of the key ability of scientific literacy. Science teachers are the key factor of the argument teaching activity design and the implementation of the success .Science teachers' argumentation ability directly affects the argument campaigns.Therefore, this research focuses on pre-service physics teachers' ability of argument and provides reference for physics teachers to carry out argument teaching. That will offer reference to promote the students' understanding of scientific ideas and concepts and develop the students' argumentation ability.This research mainly focuses on science reading and writing patterns in pre-service physics teachers' argumentation ability. Study participants were 49 normal junior and 69 freshman of normal students of Nanjing Normal University. This research embraces two social science issues and use written argumentation mode combined with Toulmin's Argument Pattern to design the writing for argumentation.Research process is to analyze and compare the argumentation science writing form students content for qualitative and quantitative from the correctness of the reason, the contradiction, the constituent elements of complete and number of arguments. That depends on four aspects to evaluate the reasoning ability of students.The conclusions of the investigation are as follows: firstly, pre-service physical teachers' argumentation ability in the correctness of the reason and the number of arguments scores higher than that of college freshmen. But the number of arguments depends on the conclusion of a significant sexual difference, and the correctness of the reasons for a conclusion without statistical significance. Secondly, pre-service physical teachers' argumentation ability on the contradiction and the constituent elements of complete is no difference in the college freshmen. It is said that the physical normal senior students develop their ability of argument not better. Thirdly,pre-service physical teachers' argumentation ability in terms of gender difference is not obvious and the results do not have statistical significance. From the investigation ,it is need for pre-service teachers to demonstrate the specialized training of teaching and strengthen the consciousness of the demonstration of the design and implementation of teaching. That will improve the ability of pre-service teachers'demonstration and promote the pre-service teachers to use demonstration teaching better in middle school teaching. At the same time, it will improve students' ability in the argument and play a bigger role to cultivate their scientific literacy.
