In mathematics learning, there are some knowledge points whose learning process is very likely to result in a student division, which is called "differentiation point". In the practical mathematics teaching,the differences in the performance of students can be traced back to the emergence of learning successfully or not up to some point of differentiation. For a long time, although many teachers have put a lot of efforts into teaching the differentiation points, the study of the eighth grade is little.Most of the research conclusions are based on the experience of teaching, and comprehensive and systematic summaries are still not enough.Firstly, through literature analysis, the paper describes a lot on the mathematical differentiation theoretically. Then through analyzing the eighth grade mathematical textbook, undertaking to the questionnaires,teachers' interviews and assignment and test analysis, determine the differentiations of influencing students' learning.Then, the paper will analyze the differentiation point of origin from its own characteristics, cognitive characteristics of students, teachers' teaching situation three aspects, and put forward the breakthough differentation point of general teaching strategies .Through questionnaire investigation, the analysis of cause , strategy research and experiment, this study mainly have the following basic conclusion:(1) Conclude the differentiation point of eighth grade students in mathematics studyThe questionnair by the teachers and students, students' assignments and test statistics, concluded the differentiation point of eighth grade in mathematics study.Strong differentiation point: the shortest path problem, judgement of parallelogram,judgment of triangles which are congruent, isosceles triangle; Weak differentiation point: function,equation and inequality, fraction equation, square, function of images,the common factor method and angle bisector properties, the midline and angle bisector and high of the triangle, an equilateral triangle.(2 ) Analyze the characteristics of itself from the differentation point, the students' cognitive characteristics,teachers' teaching situation to have the causes of the eighth grade student.Found in this study ,the differentiation point itself, its content abstract degree and the demand of thinking has the certain difficulty to students; the students'cognitive characteristics, perceptual characteristics, negative thinking habits of thinking, lack of learning motivation, the wrong way of learning is the cause of differentiation points' appearance; Analysis from the teachers' teaching situation, there is "role differentiation", "empirical", and the heavy knowledge, light thought method,etc.(3 ) The strategies for coping differentiation of general point and special pointFor general differentiation point,seize the characteristics of decomposition difficulties; update the concept, for all; change strategy to improve efficiency;stimulate interest to learn actively. In view of the strong differentiation point, break through the difficulty; in view of the weaknesses differentiation point,guide carefully and demand strictly.(4 ) For the differentiation point of the chapter axisymmetric, make a specific teaching design, then test its validity.
