Analysis Of The Performance Characteristics Of The Chinese Team In Previous World Championships In Athletics

It is well Known that,as the principle event,the athletics is the key event to compete medals for countries in comprehensive large-scale events,as well as the only way for Chinese to transfer from a major sports country to a powerful sports country.The World Athletics Championships,which both has the highest level of competition and the biggest impact in IAAF,is the best way to testify the level of competition of athletics for countries.It is not stable in competition results and not similar that advantages and disadvantages performed during the different time for Chinese team Since they took part in the world athletics championships.Thus the competition results of Chinese team in all the previous World Athletics Championships was chosen for this study,and the literature method,method of comparative analysis,method of statistics and so on have been used in this article.The Chinese team's characteristics of performance in annual World Athletics Championships has been deeply analyzed through the diversified aspects,such as the medal,points,sports events distribution and so on.Some development strategies also were proposed by this article,aims to provide a reference about improving of track and field spots and sustainable development for Chinese team.Through the analysis,this research concludes:1.In all the previous World Athletics Championships,It is presented that Chinese team's characteristics of performance has a wave-like development characteristic,if the gold medals was as the standard,the 4 th game won the most if the gold medals was taken away,the 15 th game won the most.If the events was arranged from 4-8.The 10 th game and the 13 th game won the most,if the total score of the group was as standard,the 15 th won the most.2.In all the previous World Athletics Championships,from the aspect of the belonging of the medals,it can be arranged from endurance sport group,fast-strength event-group and speed event group from more to less,from aspect of the belonging of4-8 ranking,it can be arranged from fast-strength event-group,endurance sport group and speed event group.3.In all the previous World Athletics Championships,from the aspect of the result,the competitive strengths of Chinese female events is obviously better than male's,but in the 15 th World Athletics Championships,male won the same medals as the female be except the gold medal.from the aspect of speed event group,the competitive strengths of Chinese female team is not good as the male's;females has the better competitive strengths in fast-strength event-group and endurance sport group,but the competitive strengths in speed event group is not good;Compared with the females,males has the better competitive strengths in endurance sport group,but the fast-strength event-group is not good.4.In all the previous World Athletics Championships,the total grades of Chinese track and field team has a huge change,twice obviously summit and twice rise period and one twists and turns period has been appeared during the overall trend,it present a characteristic of wave-like,which has the positive correlation with the change of the females grades.5.In all the previous World Athletics Championships,there are some key reasons why Chinese track and field team has the changes.First,the gap in talents has been appeared in female middle-distance race and male110-meter hurdle,Second,the development of Woman's walking program is not stable and the development of Chinese female hammer is also the important factor.
