The implement of new curriculum puts forward new challenges and requirements to teaching evaluation reform.Evaluation should be used to improve students' development.As the ‘Assessment for learning' is different from the traditional‘Assessment of learning' in evaluation purpose.From the evaluation object,evaluation methods and many other aspects,assessment for learning promotes students learning and development.That makes it to be an inevitable choice of classroom assessment.In the daily writing teaching,teachers use the teacher evaluation to assess students' writing.However,the status quo of English writing teaching and students' writing both reflect the drawbacks.This thesis takes the Oxford English(Shanghai Edition)as an example to research how to apply assessment for learning to writing teaching.The purpose of this paper is to give full play to the role of assessment in writing teaching,to improve teachers' professional accomplishments and to develop students' writing skills.This thesis is divided into the following five chapters:Chapter One is introduction,mainly introduces the origin,purpose and significance,research methods of this research and defines the relevant concepts.The second chapter is literature review.It also elaborates domestic and international research on the assessment for learning and writing assessment.The third chapter analyzes 6+1 Trait Writing Rubrics.On this basis,based on the English Course Standard(2011),actual situation of the teaching materials and students,the writing evaluation criteria are designed.The fourth chapter displays two evaluation cases of assessment for learning in English writing.The analysis feedback from the construction of evaluation goal to the final writing assessment results are all presented in order to provide reference for first-line teachers.Chapter Five,the last chapter of this thesis concludes with some reflection of implementation and provides suggestions for the other teachers.
