Empirical Research On The Relationship Between Metacognition, Self-efficacy And Introspective Intelligence

This research is based on the the correlation of meta-cognitive theory,self-efficacy and introspection intelligence.From the perspective of Physics education in middle school,we made an empirical research on the basis of theoretical inquiry.We have been able to verify the results of our preliminary ideas through statistical processing.From the results of the data,we put forward the teaching inspiration that we should take the view of synergy training for metacognition and self efficacy,especially in the process of physics teaching.Finally,we discussed the application our results,which is the collaborative training strategy under the background of the college entrance examination reform.This research is divided into seven chapters.In the first chapter,we put forward the purpose and the meaning of the research.The second chapter is about the related theories and researchs at home and abroad.Through the analysis of the three theoretical connotations,we draw reasonable components from the relevant research,determine the theoretical dimension of the research,and select three subscales which can be used as the research tools for our research,which are prepared for the theoretical and operational research.The third and fourth chapter is the practical steps and preliminary results of this research.In this study,we investigated the first grade students of the senior high school in Shanghai.The selected three scales were compiled into a questionnaire.Through the network questionnaire,they were investigated to analyze their meta-cognition,self-efficacy and introspection intelligence in the aspect of four factors,which is " gender","class committee","parents' Education level","parents' occupation".The results of the distribution show that the meta-cognition,self-efficacy and introspection intelligence of the male students are significantly higher than those of the female students,which explains the idea that the male students can achieve greater success in physical learning than the female students.There is no significant difference between the other three factors.The relevant statistical results show that there are correlations among the metacognition,self-efficacy and introspection intelligence in the field of physical learning.And there is a closely correlation between meta-cognitive ability and self-efficacy.The subsequent regression analysis quantitatively indicates that self-efficacy and introspective intelligence has a predictive effect on meta-cognition,and the effect of self-efficacy on metacognition is larger than that of introspective intelligence.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the statistical results,which is the focus of this research.The reason that male students are more successful in physical learning than female students is that metacognition,self-efficacy and introspective intelligence are higher than female students.Meta-cognition and self-efficacy have a great effect on physical learning.The other factors have no effcet.There is a mutual promotion between meta-cognition and self-efficacy,and one aspect of promotion will lead to the promotion of the other one.But the effect of mutual promotion will be weakened with the enhancement of meta-cognition and introspection intelligence.Therefore,the training effect on students with learning difficulty will be better.The result of correlation shows that we should adopt collaborative training to improve students' physical learning ability.The sixth chapter is the application of my research.Based on the results of empirical research,we believe that the introspection intelligence is related to the high correlation between self-efficacy and metacognition.Introspective intelligence contributes to self-consciousness,which contributes to self-efficacy.For the application in education,this study discussed the difficulty in high school physics educaton in the new round of college entrance examination reform by the context of the cooperative training strategy of metacognition and self-efficacy.The training strategy consists of six modules: "arousing interest","getting a sense of achievement","initial self-efficacy","self attribution","self-efficacy" and "strengthening of metacognitive ability",and "metacognitive ability establishment and strengthening".As these modules have a time sequence,in which the "enhanced self efficacy" is synchronized with "the establishment and strengthening of metacognitive ability".Also,this study explores some operational ideas in the process of collaborative training of meta-cognition and self-efficacy.The seventh chapter is the summary and prospect.This part also discusses the shortcomings,and puts forward the direction for further research.
