In the exchange of information,stereotype is a psychological phenomenon which is easy to occur.Stereotype not only represents the level of knowledge,the concept and the anticipation of a certain group of people,but also the cognitive structure,to a certain extent,it affects the attitude and analysis of specific things.In the age of post-truth,emotional appeal is higher than objective truth,people become more emotional,more shallow thinking,more extreme differentiation,to a certain extent,these factors deepened the formation of stereotypes.The relationship between the mainland and Taiwan has always been the focus of social concern.With the development of the times,both of them have entered a new period of development.College students are an important part of communication,however,they have a certain degree of stereotypes about Taiwanese and the causes of these stereotypes are complex.On the one hand,we should pay attention to the deviation of their stereotypes and objective facts,on the other hand,we should pay attention to the mass media,the media literacy of college students and the cross-cultural communication have a great influence on stereotype.On the basis of communication and interview,thinking about the stereotype of college students in the era of post truth and finding out the characteristics and reasons of stereotype,summing up the strategy to deal with stereotypes,these studies have positive significance for the benign interaction between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.In this paper,author takes college students under the post-truth era as the starting point,The main body includes three chapters,follow the main line of finding problems,analyzing problems and solving problems.In the first chapter,author introduce and analyze the post-truth era,and summarizes the features of stereotype in the post-truth era,the study find that college students do have some emotional and labeling stereotypes,which affect their attitude and behavior to Taiwanese.In the second chapter,author found that there was a difference between the students who were in contact with the Taiwanese and those who did not,the main reason for this phenomenon is the impact of the mass media,in addition,media literacy and cross-cultural communication also play a part of the role.In the third chapter,according to the characteristics of the post-truth era,on the two aspects of mass media and college students,this paper puts forward some strategies to deal with stereotypes.In the end,the author puts forward some prospects for the future exchange of youth between the two sides.
