Research On CSFB-based Voice Solution Of China Unicom

The comprehensive commercial application of the fourth generation communication technology, has brought us a new network that different from 2G,3G’s experience. What the new technology revolution brings to the communication operators is not only the opportunity but also challenge, known as a certain impact on the previous network investment which the application of new network investment have, meanwhile, the 4G network voice service is not as practical as what we expect.According to the specific operating status of 4G network of China Unicom, a scheme for their own business conditions to solve the problem of 4G voice service had been preferably selected, by comparing the voice down, single mode dual standby, VoLTE and other three kinds of existing 4G voice solutions. We introduced the network architecture of CS fallback in detail, executive principle, existence problems and solutions as well, in order to guarantee the users’experience, the development of its 4G network and the rational utilization of early enterprise investment.
