Clean Production Application Research In High-star Hotels

With the rapid development of the tertiary industry, which will lead to environmental problems become more and more prominent, The hotels industry is a major source of pollution of the tertiary industry. Especially the high-star hotel is run by ways of high energy consumption and high emission operation which are causing harm to the environment. Therefore, hotels industry need the cleaner production to reduce the impact on the local environment, to improve their environmental,economic and social benefits and to achieve corporate harmony with the environment and company.This study has combined the Sustainable Development, Circular Economy,Green Management and other related theories, using the cleaner production audit measures, life cycle analysis, comparative analysis, focuses on existed internal and external analysis of the high-star hotel management process problems. And the study will identify potentials and recommendations of energy saving ways for high-star hotels. Accordingly, the study will further discuss the cleaner production applications for high-star hotel. This study can be used to offer theoretical references and measures.By doing the research, the main understanding can be achieved:(1)we can draw the conclusions that the internal problems are staffs are lack of cleaner production and environmental consciousness,metering systems are imperfect,internal energy and resources are wasted enormously, garbage classification is not sufficient, funding are inadequate and insufficient and some other issues are existed.(2) The external problems of high-star hotels are the lack of government and social impetus, inadequate public green consumption concept and unprofessional level of service.(3) Solve the internal problems: high-star hotels should carry out cleaner production training in order to improve environmental management leadership and employee awareness of cleaner production. high-star hotels also use clean technologies to reduce the problems of high energy consumption, high pollution areasfor hotels so that the hotels can achieve energy conservation, consumption,pollution and environmental risks reduction goals.(4)Solve the external problems: the relevant government departments should increase efforts to promote clean production and green credit fully operational. And the public should consciously cultivate their green consumer awareness and service units need to improve their professional level. With these efforts, clean production will have a favorable external environment which can improve the competitiveness and influences of high-star hotels.Only the government, the public, hotels and service units coordinate with each other, mutual supervision, the hotel industry can be good for the implementation of cleaner production, achieve energy conservation and emissions reduction, become environmental friendly industries.
