In recently years, with the rapid development of the economy, the social productivity and consumption capacity were gradually improved, which made the contradiction between high volume, less specification in traditional production and small size, high diversification in modernize consumption increasingly outstanding. However distribution centers(DCs) came into being, which played an important role in alleviating the above contradiction and ensuring the social economy work efficiently. This thesis discussed a three-stage location-inventory model which based on the joint replenishment policy allowing imperfect items and designed an improved frog leaping algorithm to solve the proposed model.Firstly, the thesis analyzed the principle of the frog leaping algorithm and discussed the problems of parameter settings and defects. Then, an improved frog leaping algorithm called Adaptive Hybrid Differential Frog Leaping Algorithm(AHDFLA) was developed which combined the mutation of the differential evolution algorithm(DE) with frog leaping algorithm(SFLA).Secondly, to test the performance of the AHDFLA, a total of eleven widely used benchmark problems, four kinds of algorithms and sensitivity analysis of some parameters were considered. The results verified the effectiveness and efficiency of the AHDFLA. Thirdly, a three-stage location-inventory model which based on the joint replenishment policy was proposed. The shortage situation caused by imperfect items was introduced to the traditional joint replenishment model and the optimal replenishment cycle was derived. Then AHDFLA was utilized to solve the proposed model. Finally, to discuss the influence of parameters on the total cost, a sensitivity analysis was conducted which could provide useful managerial insights.
