As the advanced phase in the development of manufacturing industrialization,high-end equipment manufacturing industry is the top part of equipment manufacturing,which refers to equipment field in the high-end manufacturing industry.It features high technology and highly-added value,crowned as "a sunrise industry".In 2011,Fujian province put forward implementation schemes and specific development plans for strategic emerging industry including high-end equipment manufacturing industry with the purpose of building high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Fujian,which is of great significance to enhancing its capability of independent innovation,economic development mode and adjustment and upgrade of traditional industrial structure.Therefore,either from the level of national development or Fujian industrial development,it is a general trend to develop high-end equipment manufacturing industry.However,even as a sunrise industry,less study has been done on the influence of Fujian high-end equipment manufacturing industry that it has on technical innovation performance.Based on theoretical analysis,this paper,firstly,identifies the scope of Fujian high-end equipment manufacturing industry and the content of technological innovation performance.Secondly,it discusses the relationship between enterprise scale and technological innovation performance,seeks out influences on economical efficiency of scale of enterprise technological innovation and analyzes influencing mechanism of enterprise scale on technological innovation performance.At last,according to data availability,it chooses five sub industries of high-end equipment manufacturing industries as the study object to establish a index system of enterprise scale and technological innovation performance,including transportation equipment manufacturing industry,medical equipment and instrument industry,electric equipment and machinery manufacturing industry,electronic and communication device manufacturing industry and electronic computer and office equipment manufacturing industry from 2004 to 2012 in Fujian Province.A comprehensive performance indicator of technological innovation performance is achieved by factor analysis with the application of SPSS 17.0.Also a research model of enterprise scale and technological innovation performance is established and their relationship is also analyzed by using STATA software.According to the experiment,Fujian high-end equipment manufacturing industry,the relationship between enterprise scale and technological innovation performance is inverted U-shaped function relationship either indicated by average workers in the industry or average main business income in the industry.And there is a inflection point.Hence,this paper concludes there is enterprise scale that most suitable for innovation.However,once the enterprise scale outgrows such level,enterprise technological innovation performance will be damaged due to organization bureaucratizing,decline in R&D motives,etc.At last,suggestions on policies to enhance the development of Fujian high-end equipment manufacturing industry are proposed on the basis of the conclusion.
