Study On Commercial Bank Operating Risk

Currently our economy is in a stage of structural adjustment,and the appropriate laws and regulations which suitable for the current stage are still lacking.Since it's difficult to implement and follow the strict regulations,various operational risk situations,all kinds of irregularities and fraud incidents have appeared one after another.Meanwhile,Chinese commercial banks study little about operational risk and lack of data and practical application.The study of the commercial bank for operational risk control is still in the exploratory stage.This thesis focuses on the analysis of commercial bank operating risk from the internal control perspective.In the first chapter,the fundamental theory and the relationship between commercial bank operating risk and internal control were introduced.In the second chapter,a case study on tradition operating risk assessment was carried out for Agricultural Bank of China in Tianjin.The study also considered changes in operating risk in analyzing the impact of office Operation System under the situation in Agricultural Bank of China in Tianjin.Furthermore,a discussion on how to manage and control operating risk under Information Operation System from the internal control perspective is also provided.Although operating risks of counters have been reduced to a certain extent,risks of backstage may increase on the contrary.At last,it is suggested that the operating system and process,which included control environment,control activities,information and communication,monitoring and evaluation,risk evaluation,should be combined with the construction of internal control,to improve the internal control system and defense operating risks.
