| Under the condition of open economy,the international market resources are effectively allocated through outward foreign direct investment(OFDI),make the industrial structure to be updating and rationalization,and it has been fully validated by the successful experience of domestic and international.Currently,many domestic provinces devote to develop the export-oriented economy,in order to realize the economic transformation of the region.Shanxi Province as a resource-based provinces,the development model that give priority to the heavy industry is suffering a unreasonable industrial structure and the bottleneck of economic growth momentum.With the improvement in opening to the outside world degree of Shanxi Province,it starting to explore the more effective path of promoting industrial structure upgrade,import and export trade,foreign investment and OFDI.They are new tools and new choices brought by economic globalization.But for now,while trying to push industry transformation through trade and foreign investment,they did not play their effects.However,OFDI's huge role is more neglected.Therefore,how to better use of OFDI,let it give play to effect of industrial structure upgrade,is one of the important issue faced by the current open economy in Shanxi Province.In this paper,based on the reality of OFDI and industrial structure upgrade in Shanxi Province.For measuring the industrial structure upgrade,evaluation system from four aspects include trade upgrade,technology upgrade,domestic investment upgrade and employment upgrade has been built.It has systematically analyzed the influence mechanism that OFDI through these can make the industrial structure become upgrade,teased out the possible existence of transmission channels.At the same time,this paper used the factor analysis method to the indicators on the principal component analysis,constructed time series model,made the empirical test of overall effect and effect size of transmission mechanism.The empirical results show that OFDI from Shanxi Province has a not obvious role in promoting the optimization and upgrading ofindustrial structure in a short time,but it has a sustained promoting positive role in the long run.The path of trade,the path of technology,the path of investment and the path of employment have the different contribution of different degree,but these four transmission path all did not play their proper role.This paper suggest that Shanxi Province should: Shall establish and perfect the system of overseas investment strategy that include the policy guidance,financial system,talent attraction and so on to provide long-term support for multinational enterprises.Secondly,on the basis of trade,achieve a deeper bilateral economic cooperation with other country through OFDI,and increase the technology investment of developed countries,realize our transformation and upgrading on the basis of economic depth fusion with other countries.In addition,still should promote the outward foreign transfer in the spare capacity,actively develop the capacity of cooperation with its neighboring countries,make room and stand space resources for industrial upgrading.By improving the level and quality of OFDI,make the path of trade,technology,investment and employment give full play to their functions,finally achieve the goal of industrial structure upgrading in Shanxi Province. |
