Research On Problems Of Excess Capacity Of Manufacturing Industry In Liaoning Province

In the changing market economy,overcapacity means that the effective demand for products is much lower than the actual production capacity.With the running market economy,short-term supply and demand imbalance is normal,but if the problems of overcapacity last for a long time,it will lead to the disorder of market and industrial chain,and then bring serious harm to the economic operation.In recent years,the government and the academics have paid close attention to the problems of overcapacity.In the restructuring of economic structure,the government departments have listed the remediation and suppression of overcapacity as the main points of the work.Overcapacity is a bottleneck affecting the economic revitalization of Liaoning Province.Therefore,the research evaluates the capacity utilization of manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province,and studies the causes of overcapacity phenomenon of manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province,and then the government departments made a reference opinion for management of this problems,has a great significance.This paper first defines the concept of overcapacity and capacity utilization,analyzes two different types of overcapacity,analyzes the formation mechanism and conduction path of overcapacity,analyzes the current situation of overcapacity of manufacturing enterprises in Liaoning Province and the obstacles existed in the process of resolving excess capacity.The article focuses on the use of panel cointegration method to measure the capacity utilization of twenty-one manufacturing industries in Liaoning Province from 2005 to 2014.Finally,the author explores the causes of this phenomenon in Liaoning Province and puts forward relevant policy suggestions based on the results.The results show that: First,Petroleum Processing,Coking and Nuclear Fuel Processing Industry,Chemical Raw Materials and Chemical Products Manufacturing,Non-metallic Mineral Products Industry,Ferrous Metal Smelting and Rolling Processing Industry,Non-ferrous Metal Smelting and Rolling Processing Industry which are from the heavy industry manufacturing and Chemical Fiber Manufacturing,Papermaking and Paper Products Industry,Textile Industry which are from the light industry manufacturing exist serious problems of excess capacity.Second,the overall capacity utilization rate of manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province is basically consistent with the fluctuation of economic cycle.And then analyzes the deep adjustment of the macroeconomic environment,the irrational economic structure,the system defects caused by overcapacity of manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province,and on this basis,put forward relevant policy recommendations.
