With the fast development of internet in our country, online shopping has been an indispensable part in people daily life.B2C e-grocery has the advantages of rich variety of goods, reliable quality and more favorable price compared to offline shops, expected to expand its market gradually and become the mainstream of online shopping eventually. However, the rapid development of B2C e-grocery brings the huge challenges meanwhile. These are reflected in the "last mile delivery" particularly, which has problems of low level service a nd high cost of delivery. Therefore, how to meet customer demands as well as reduce last mile delivery cost has became the biggest challenge facing B2C e-grocers.This paper solves the problem of last mile delivery from view of last mile modes.Home delivery mode is confirmed as a must option because of merchandise properties Therefore,is it necessary to set up pickup delivery modes in a region of city has become the focus of this paper. The detail of researches is as followsFirstly, home delivery is comfirmed as a must option in last mile delivery mode choice.Based on the knowledge of SERVPRF model and LSQ model,a form which evaluates the quality of home delivery service is designed in this paper in order to understand customer detail demands of home delivery mode.Another pickup willing evaluation form is designed to understand whether customers are willing to pick up goods by themselves.According to the scores of pickup willing evaluation form, reception box mode and convenient store mode are selected as alternative options.Besides, this paper also designs multiple choices to understand customer other needs in pickup delivery modes.Secondly, based on customer demand, this paper builds three final distribution cost models that correspond to home delivery model, reception box model and convenient store model, which as the basis for selection. In addition, this paper based on K-means clustering algorithm to determine the number and location of pickup points so that the cost model of pickup delivey modes can be builtMoreover, this paper based on genetic algorithm model solves three cost models of three delivery modes. All three cost models are included in the cost of transportation and labor cost, therefore the three cost models are related to the vehicle routing problem. For home delivery mode, vehicle routing is VRPTW with soft time windows, for the other two pickup delivery modes, vehicle routing are the typical of VRP problem. Finally, this paper simulates the decision on whether pickup delivery modes are necessary in a certain region of Fuzhou for B2C e-grocers.Based on three cost models of last mile delivery, and simulate how the factors of different time windows and number of orders affect on final distribution costs, and then discuss the necessary to select pickup delivery modes in a region of city.
