Analysis On The Present Situation And Development Strategy Of Animal Husbandry In Ningshan County

Animal husbandry is the main component of modern agriculture,is also the leading industry of farmers' income increase.Ningshan county is a national poverty county and mountain county,the large-scale development of animal husbandry is restricted by geographical environment,in recent years the county based on ecological environment and resource advantages,actively explore the development of animal husbandry under forest ecological breeding,now has achieved initial results.This paper used field research,literature,comparative analysis,analyzes the development achievements,current situation,advantages and disadvantages of animal husbandry in Ningshan County,and puts forward corresponding development measures according to the existing problems.Ningshan county is located in the south of Qinling Mountains,the county's total land area-3678km2,the county currently governs 11 towns,80 villages(communities),the total population of 74 thousand people(at the end of the resident population of 70 thousand and900 people,of which agricultural population of 58 thousand and 700 people).Rich in forest resources,forest coverage rate of 90.2%,vast grassland area,available grassland area of 980 thousand acres.The formation of the county's livestock resources and its quantity,variety,distribution,with the altitude of different geographical differences,the development of ecological animal husbandry industry has unique conditions,correct and rational development and utilization,local conditions to guide livestock production,draw on the advantages and avoid disadvantages,exploit the advantages to the full,have extremely important significance.Due to the impact of traditional farming concept,at present,most farmers still exist small peasant economic thought,for a long time no animal husbandry as the main industry to grasp,county pig based livestock farming poor foundation,animal husbandry output value accounted for a small proportion of total agricultural output value.Since2005,Ningshan county animal husbandry industry as one of the major industries of the county's economic development,under the drive of market economy,after several years of development,the traditional concept of farmers in the past has undergone profound changes,enhance the farmers consciousness of the goods,basic condition and the scale of development the quality is increasing year by year.Ningshan county development of animal husbandry mainly in the following aspects:herd structure is not reasonable,degradation of varieties,production performance is poor,low commodity rate;feed a single species,green forage supply uneven,nutrition is not complete;grassroots animal husbandry and veterinary station equipment is crude,lack of funds,fewer staff,low technical level.Ningshan county is limited to the development of key ecological function area and the core water source,not suitable for the development of large-scale livestock and poultry breeding,according to the specific agriculture ecological conditions,to exert the regional advantages,the rational use of resources,the county should be the scale of development of ecological animal husbandry,the main development strategy:establish the ecological recycling agriculture thoughts,animal husbandry and fishery well combined;rational develop and use grassland grass slope,a planned grassland improvement;enlarge feed production,promotion of ecological feed processing technology;do a good job breeding livestock and poultry and advanced technology;the construction of commodity base,create characteristic animal products;strengthen the prevention and quarantine of livestock and poultry disease;improve the construction of animal husbandry service system;cultivate new business entities,develop appropriate scale management;actively promote ecological animal husbandry,enhance farmers' awareness of participation.
