Today irrational industrial structure has been a serious impediment to the sustainable development of economy in China.At the meantime,industrial structure adjustment is the basis of structural upgrading.Based on this situation,the paper summarizes the existin g research results.Firstly,this paper build a comprehensive evaluation system from the perspective of rationalization,high-efficiency and advanced level,measured the upgrading level of industrial structure in China from 1995 to 2014.And study finds that advanced level is too low,which significantly restricts the overall upgrading level of industrial structure in China.Secondly,this paper analyzes the cross-sectional data of 30 provinces and municipalities(except Tibet)in 2014.The results show that there are obvious regional characteristics in the upgrading level of industrial structure in China.The eastern coastal areas are obviously higher than the central,northeastern and western region.Moreover the provinces and municipalities are facing different industrial structure problems.The provinces of higher level are facing the problem of low advanced level.Backward areas are facing the problem of uncoordinated developing of rationalization,high efficiency and advanced level.Thirdly,according to the mechanism of labor factor,consumption upgrade,capital allocation,independent innovation and information development,this paper analyzes the main influencing factors that affect industrial structure upgrading level in China,and finds out that the quality of labor force,foreign direct investment,R & D funding and personnel investment and information technology development level are the main influencing factors.Finally,this paper puts forward specific suggestions to speed up the adjustment of industrial structure in China.
