With family miniaturization,economic and social transition period,population aging process make pension problem increasingly highlighted.As to this problem,China began to implement the new type of pension insurance for rural residents since September 2009,.Domestic and foreign scholars have made some corresponding research to the endowment insurance and pension mode,results were different in different areas and different times.This article introduces the related concepts of the new rural endowment insurance and pension mode firstly,then explores how the new rural endowment insurance and education and role absence of spouse affect preference of the residents for pension model by Logistic regression and PSM using CHARLS data on the basis of theoretical analysis.The major finding are as follows:(1)The rural elderly obviously dependent on the characteristics of the children in living preferences,and the new rural endowment insurance haves no significant effect to endowment pattern choice;(2)Men have more chance to attend school than women,women are disadvantaged groups in the education;(3)The illiterate old people choose the proportion of children pension relative to a nearly 9%increase in literacy which different from 42%with the Logistic regression model,and the result is very moderate;(4)Role absence of spouse has a significant influence on pension preference,the elderly without spouse have higher dependence of their children because of the life and emotional needs;(5)The cultural level of the mother influence in the children's education is about six times that of his father,so,improve the level of the education of the girls can affect the quality of the whole nation in the future.
