A Case Study On The Cost Management Of EPC Projects By EVM

The project managementof EPC projectshave been internationallyaccepted in the engineering construction market.With keeping in line with the international engineering construction market,Chinese enterprises are continuously practicing this project management.Cost management is one of the key factors in the project managementof EPC projects.It is a systematic management work for achieving the target of project construction management through planning,estimating,budgeting and controlling some resources.EVM was figured out at the middle of last century.It is more embedded and more comprehensive for the study of EMS.And EVM is a scientific method to management the cost and the time limit for a project.Through resuming the theory about EMS and the cost management s of EPC projects.The ACWP,BCWS and BCWS are central parameters for EVM.It is discussed about how to calculate the main parameters and the index about performance.The thesis analyzed applicability about the cost managements of EPC projects by EVM.Especially,the thesis discussed how to carry out the cost management of EPC projects by EVM.Through the study of cost management for EPC projects,we hope the measures and means of the cost management of our proposals in this thesis will help our company to get perfect result in the international engineering construction market.
