With the growing intense market competition,in current slow development of economy, companies usually apply credit sale to improve selling and explode product and market shares. As the most convenient and effective sales means, credit sale can cut inventory, expand market share and boost profit. But it also has some malpractice, for example, increasing receivables could bring some fund obligations, such as delaying sales revenue and increasing bad debts, which may hinder the fund flow and lower the business effect. In this way, accounts receivable management is closely related to a company's management and development. This paper takes A Company of Guangxi Construction Company as an example, studying its accounts receivable management, finding out existing problems, analyzing the reasons and working out some solutions. From the perspectives of corporate governance, internal controls and industrial characteristics, the paper makes questionnaire survey and data collection and analysis, and finds out that A Company fails in accounts receivable management for defective internal controls, weak internal controls and passive industrial characteristics. In order to solve these problems, three solutions are worked out:completing corporate governance from the aspects of corporate governance structure and system;improving internal controls with better system, procedure and methods;optimizing accounts receivable management by reducing opportunity cost and innovating collection means. Therefore,it is an effective way for A Company to improve accounts receivable management from perspectives of corporate governance, internal controls and industrial characteristics,so as to find and solve problems as a whole.
