Research On The Coupling Coordination Of Tourism And Urbanization In Hubei Province

Currently,the tourism industry has grown into the largest industry in the world.China's tourism industry defined as a strategic pillar industry also shows a trend of rapid development and it has become an important driving force to promote regional economic and urbanization development.At the same time,the speed of China's urbanization development is accelerating and the quality of urbanization is improving and providing an important basis and economic support for the healthy development of the tourism.In fact,there is an inherent and interactive relationship between tourism and urbanization,and only when they are coordinated and adapted to each other can they achieve healthy and sustainable development.The level of tourism and urbanization of Hubei Province is in the leading position in the central region.The tourism development goal is building a strong province of tourism economy and the urbanization development goals is promoting the healthy development of new urbanization,narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas,improving the quality and level of urbanization.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the coordinated development of tourism and urbanization.Based on the system theory,coupled coordination theory and sustainable development theory,the paper qualitatively analyzes the promotion effect of tourism industry on urban economic development,urban social function,urban ecological development and urban and rural development and also analyzes the promotion effect of urbanization on the development of tourism resources,the improvement of tourism facilities construction,the expansion of the tourism market scale and the transformation of traditional tourism.Based on expounding the connotation of the concept of tourism and urbanization,this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of tourism,which includes tourism economic benefits,tourism market size and tourism industry factor,and also constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of urbanization,which is composed of four subsystems:economic development,social life,ecological space and urban and rural integration.Using comprehensive evaluation model to analyze the development level of tourism and urbanization in Hubei province and 12 provincial cities,using the coupling degree evaluation model and the coupling coordination degree evaluation model to analyze the coupled coordination development characteristics of tourism and urbanization in Hubei Province and 12 Provinces.Finally,according to the research results,the suggestions are put forward to promote coupling coordination of tourism and urbanization in Hubei province from the province and the different coupling coordination zones.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)From 2005 to 2014,the comprehensive development level of the tourism industry and the urbanization in Hubei Province showed a sustained growth trend.However,from the 12 provincial cities,the regional development of the tourism industry was different.Wuhan is in the absolute leading position,always ranked first,followed by Yichang,Shiyan and Xiangyang,but still with the development gap between Wuhan,other cities are far behind.Compared with the comprehensive development level of tourism,the regional development level of urbanization is relatively small,but Wuhan is still in the leading position,Huangshi is always ranked second,the other cities development level is low,the development gap is relatively small.(2)From 2005 to 2014,the coupling degree of tourism and urbanization in Hubei Province was in the stage of high level coupling development,and the degree of coupling coordination showed a steady upward trend.However,from the 12 provincial cities,the coupling degree of tourism and urbanization in the three typical years showed 3 kinds of states:antagonistic stage,the running-in stage and the high-level coupling stage.The degree of coupling coordination showed 3 kinds of states:moderate coordination,good coordination and high coordination.By combining the coupling degree and the coupling coordination degree,the 12 cities of Hubei Province are divided into the following areas:the high coupling height coordination area,high coupling good coordination area,high coupling moderate coordination area and running moderate coordination area.
