A Study On The Financial Strategy Of Semir Based On Harvard Analytical Framework

As an important area of financial management,whether the formulation of financial strategy matches the enterprise development plan has a significant influence on the sustainable development of the enterprise.With the change of internal and external environment,the theoretical research and practical application of financial strategy have been paid more and more attention.After 20-30 years of rapid development,in recent years,Chinese casual wear industry has come to the turning point.The traditional extensive development model can not continue to meet the needs of consumers.As a typical representative of casual wear business,Semir also faced the transformation problem.In 2012,Semir's operating income indicators and operating income growth indicators both decline,the industry competitive environment rapidly changing.After 2012,Semir began to implement the strategic transformation,and implemented the financial strategy to match with the business strategy.With the continuous adjustment,Semir's operating income rising,even replace the Smith Barney occupy the leading position of the casual wear industry.Therefore,Therefore,in the key point of casual wear business transformation,we taken 2012 as turning point,selected Semir as a case analysis object.Through the research on the financial strategy of Semir,we hope to play an exemplary role in the casual wear enterprises facing the same transitional dilemma.Firstly,this paper describes the Harvard Analytical Framework and the financial strategy two major financial strategy theory.In this part,the author briefly describes the financial statement analysis method from the definition,content and advantage of the Harvard Analytical Framework.Then,we describes the definition,characteristics,formulation and implementation of financial strategy theory.On the basis of the first two parts,we analyzed the relationship between the Harvard Analytical Framework and the financial strategy,it is concluded that the content of the Harvard Analytical Framework corresponds to the financial strategy formulation procedure.Also,Harvard AnalyticalFramework sets the foundation for the formulation of corporate financial strategy.Then,this paper analyzes Semir's problems in the development.In this part,based on the Harvard framework,the author analyzes Semir's financial data between 2008-2012,selects Smith Barney and Sou Yu Te as the comparative analysis' s objcets,and studies Semir's problems before the implementation of financial strategy from aspects of strategy,accounting,finance and prospect.Next,the article focuses on discussing the selection and formulation of Semir's financial strategy.Here,based on the previous conclusion,the author study Semir how to develop his financial strategy in response to the problems in 2013-2015,.We deeply analyzed Semir's financial strategy objectives,financial strategy types and financial strategic positioning.Through the analysis,we clear the direction of Semir's financial strategy transformation.The next step,the author began to explore the implementation and protection of Semir's financial strategy.Under the guidance of the general financial strategy,this part explored specific measures and implementing guarantees.The specific measures include funding tactics,investment strategies and dividend policy.Then,this paper discussess the guarantees from three aspects,innovation,logistics and ERP system.Finally,through the case study of Semir's financial strategy,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the casual wear enterprises facing the same transitional dilemma,including four aspects,financing,investment,distribution and financial strategy implementation guarantees.We hope that the successful transformation experience of Semir can play a exemplary role in Chinese casual wear industry.
