Research On Process Optimization Of EPC Management Mode In S Company's International Transformation Process

Company S is an engineering general contractor who has a long history of the petrochemical project,and has a board range of services.From the day Company S hitting overseas markets,it has undertaken numbers of project which makes the company increase a lot of engineering experience.In the last ten years,Company S focused on the development of overseas markets,starts with single item such as design,enquiry and quotation and then extended gradually to undertake large and medium-sized general contract project.From then on,the enterprise was always frustrated on the way “going out” because of the difference process to carry out domestic and foreign petrochemical projects and the lack of engineering experience of abroad.In this paper,Company S carries out the process optimization in view of the actual situation of the foreign petrochemical project.Author hopes to improve the engineering benefit of foreign project through process optimization so that on the one hand to ensure progress and quality to increase customer satisfaction,on the other hand to reduce project cost and achieve maximum benefits through the effective combination of project in person,money as well as time.This paper analyzed of existing project management mode of petrochemical industry at home and abroad which based on the EPC project management model and process optimization theory to show that combined with the characteristics of complex structure and long period of petrochemical project,EPC project management mode is the most appropriate and optimal choice of it.Secondly,through the discussion of process optimization,it proposed that the importance of process optimization for S company's future development.Analysis the existing problems in foreign project of S company and design the process optimization through selecting the typical domestic and foreign EPC project as an example.Finally,it choose another actual case to show that the optimization of the process can greatly improve the project results,also it propose the implementation of security measures for the needs of process optimization.This paper makes an optimization design plan for implementation phase of the project based on the current situation of foreign project in Company S,combine with schedule,cost,quality and other factors.The optimization plan provides a reasonable and feasible ideas and solutions for the improvement of S company's foreign.The plan covers four stages of the implementation of the project.The specific content of the feasibility stage is to adjust the bidding process.The basic design phase is to achieve a seamless connection with detailed design.The optimization design of this phase include reasonable sub-package,pre-preparation of the project data sheet and inquiry template and in advance the design of long period equipment.The detailed design phase of the process optimization is from three aspects which is specification procurement process,simplify the design process and optimize the incentive measure.Scheme of inspection and acceptance of the scene in advance and increase the intermediate inspection to make the project completion as scheduled at the very end of the project.The target of the optimization design is to make sure not rework and as the project schedule as well as the maximization of benefits of project.Meanwhile,For the process optimization design plan,it puts forward some safeguard measures.Which include the supporting and promotion from leadership of company,building strong matrix structure and the improvement of the staff staining system,and so on.In several of supporting measures of company,several optimization design have been implemented in the existing project.The results show that the duration of the project is guaranteed and the loss has been significantly improved,what greatly improve the economic benefits of the project overseas.It makes S company to have more competitive in the same type of engineering company in future.This fully testifies that the process optimization design has important practical significance and research significance not only for S company but also for other similar engineering companies.
