With the rapid development of information technology and the Internet,the competition between enterprises is becoming more and more intense.In order to cope with the rapidly changing market demand,enterprises have to abandon the traditionally closed innovation mode which only rely on the enterprise itself to innovate and choose the open innovation mode which use the public wisdom.Crowdsourcing innovation,as a typical open innovation model,has been paid more and more attention by enterprises and academia.With the extensive use of crowdsourcing innovation,how to improve the solvers' innovation performance has become a hot topic.Although there are many studies on the solvers' innovation performance,they are based on the two aspects of the design of the fixed elements of the innovation and the individual characteristics of the innovation.And there are few studies to analyze the influencing factors of the solvers' innovation performance from other perspectives.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore the factors that affect the solvers' innovation performance from the perspective of task characteristics,so as to provide a reference for the future research and application of crowdsourcing contest.On the basis of analyzing a large number of related literatures,this paper takes the task characteristics as independent variables,introduces the effort as mediating variable and creative self-efficacy as moderating variable,and constructs the model of the factors of solvers' innovation performance in crowdsourcing contest.Then,this paper collected 416 valid sample data from zhubajie.com,using the structural equation modeling method to analyze the mechanism of the task characteristics on solvers' innovation performance,the mediating role of the effort and the moderating role of creative self-efficacy through empirical study.The following conclusions are drawn from the study:(1)The task characteristics have important influence on the solvers' innovation performance in crowdsourcing contest.Skill diversity,task identity,task importance,task autonomy,task feedback and task analyzability all have a significant positive effect on the solvers' innovation performance,but task diversity has a significant negative effect on the solvers' innovation performance.(2)Solvers' effort plays a mediating role between skill diversity,task identity,task importance,task autonomy,task feedback,task diversity,task analyzability and innovationperformance.The study found that the task characteristics affect innovation performance through solvers' effort,and solvers' effort only plays a partial mediating role between task characteristics and innovation performance.(3)The solvers' creative self-efficacy plays a significant moderating role between skill diversity,task autonomy,task feedback,task analyzability and innovation performance.When the solvers have high creative self-efficacy,the positive effects of skill diversity,task autonomy,task feedback and task analyzability on innovation performance are more significant.When the solvers have low creative self-creative,the positive effects of skill diversity,task autonomy,task feedback and task analyzability on innovation performance will weaken.
