At present,the automobile engine manufacturers need to purchased auto parts from different suppliers,and carry the auto parts back to its factory for engine assembly production.In most cases,the transport of parts is dominated by suppliers,they are responsible for arranging the transport vehicles and paid by automobile engine manufacturers regularly.They mostly adopt point-to-point transportation,which means that the auto parts transport from each supplier to the factory directly.Because the point-to-point transport usually use full-truck-load for long distance,it is difficult to achieve full load,as a result,the vehicle utilization rate is low and the freight is very high.And as product output continues to rise and the product category increases,many problems emerged in the logistics and supply chain,like high inventory of parts,high cost of transport,tardy information tracking,scattered management of transport vehicles and so on.Especially,the time of engine parts inventory cut from month to week,and then down to the day,the spare parts inventory has been greatly reduced,so,the buffer time to deal with logistics.contingencies becomes very limited.For dealing with the demand of large quantity,small parcel,high batch frequency,high timeliness of automobile engine parts,the automobile engine manufacturer put forward a new transport mode which built a collecting and distributing center to collect the goods and transported the parts by milk-run.Under this mode,there are many types of vehicles,and there are also two cases of the transport,one is supplier-supplier-collecting and distributing center-factory and another is supplier-supplier-factory.Based on all those above,we can build the optimization model with the limitation of car capacity,constraints of load balancing and so on,aiming at minimizing the whole costs throughout the transport process to solve the location problem of collecting and distributing center and the vehicle routing problem under multi-vehicle conditions.Then,the genetic algorithm,C-W algorithm and 2-opt algorithm are mixed used to solve the problem,to determine the location plan and the transport path of vehicles.Finally,take DZ automobile engine enterprise as an example,based on the actual datas of 60 parts suppliers in a week and national highway network,software tools such as VBA and mapinfo are used to solve the model.The results show that the new transport mode can not only increase the loading rate of the vehicle and reduce the cost,but also makes it easy for management.So the new transport mode is effective,economical and practical,which is of great significance.
