Research On CAUX Remote User Experience Evaluation Method For Mobile Application

The research on user experience evaluation is significant because it is an important factor to determine products'success.The traditional evaluation method has problems with incomplete data collection,unreal usage scenario,high user interference and cost.The existing remote evaluation method has the limitations of single data type,PC's summative evaluation only and low data analysis efficiency.It is possible that the CAUX with context awareness can solve problems above.Mobile shopping is set as an example to carry out CAUX research on the formative remote user experience evaluation method for mobile applications,which is to solve problems of traditional and existing remote evaluation methods in the data collection and analysis phase,establish the CAUX method of remote evaluation,demonstrate the unique value of CAUX method,and provide theoretical guidance and practical application references for researchers.This paper includes four parts.Firstly,with the thought of "Learning by Doing",the author does multi-users,long-terms,multiple rounds of small-scale experiments to determine the data types and contents as well as finds out the shortcomings when collecting user operations&satisfactions in data collection phase.Increasing the function of invoking multimedia images and audio collection services to complete the data acquisition phase of the CAUX remote user experience evaluation method.Secondly,the author refines the data analysis needs and builds the platform of the data analysis including three modules--data presentation,data edition,data analysis after analyzing the small scope experimental data,which makes CAUX have the data analysis ability to support the evaluation research and improves the data analysis efficiency and complete the method of data analysis phase.Thirdly,the author determines the data collection scheme,operation specification and adds 5 dedicated CAUX evaluation steps based on Hartson remote user experience evaluation steps.Based on the CAUX data analysis platform,the time axis task sequence comparison method is proposed with enriching Ariel Vargas's task sequence method as data analysis method.The author establishes a CAUX remote user experience evaluation method for mobile applications by remote automatic collecting and semi-automatic analyzing.Finally,evaluating the Suning Tesco's user experience by the CAUX method and traditional method,the author finds 31 and 18 user experience problems respectively.The successful completion of the case study proves that the CAUX method is feasible and can carry out the research on the formative remote user experience evaluation of mobile applications.The research results and cost of two methods are compared and analyzed;the results show that the CAUX method has obvious advantages in the number,content and severity of user experience problems.What is more,it effectively reduces the cost of time,manpower,material and financial resources of the research,completing the demonstration of the unique value of CAUX remote user experience evaluation method.
